Past Projects

pJab

pJab ("private Jabber") was a project I started up a while ago when I wanted to make a Jabber client which ran on Java and could do OpenPGP encryption.

I eventually abandoned it not only from lack of time, but also because Psi started supporting all the features I was going to implement anyway, and to the same level of portability. The only use for my code became bots, and I still have plans of using the OpenPGP compatibility as a form of automatic authentication for my bot.

Another use for the code may well have been J2ME, if I could get OpenPGP crypto working (well) on such a limited system.

LiveJournal Browser

LiveJournal Browser was an experiment of mine, developed while working on a similar piece of software at work. It used TouchGraph's graph layout component to graph the relationships between LiveJournal users.

The program became extremely popular, far too quickly. At the peak of its popularity, TouchGraph offered to take the project off my hands, so now it sits at their site.
